Finishes: The resin system in MetFab's high performance finish Fluropon® is made up of 70% Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000™ resin. The carbon/fluorine bond, which gives Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000™ resin based coatings their stubborn resistance to chalking and erosion as well as their resistance to harsh airborne industrial and atmospheric pollutants, is one of the strongest chemical bonds known to man. The standard coating thickness of 1.0 mil will provide a lifetime of service. Additional coatings can be applied to meet ASTM specification D-968, for falling sand of 100 or 200 liters. If desired, metallic, custom colors, high gloss, low gloss, and XL systems can be produced. Contact manufacturer for pricing.

Material: 24 gauge G-90 galvanized steel is the standard substrate for MetFab products and meets ASTM A755. Galvanized steel is produced to ASTM standard A-653 and has a yield strength of 37 KSI and a tensile strength of 52 KSI. This product is tension leveled to produce the flattest product possible. Oil canning is an inherent trait of thin gauge metals, and is not grounds for rejection.

Warranty: All MetFab's Fluropon® finishes are warranted for 20 years against chalking, cracking, and color fading. If the product is properly handled, stored, and fabricated, it will not fade*, crack or peel for a period of twenty years. All projects must be registered at completion to be eligible.

*Fluropon® is not designed to bridge cracks in the substrate. Due to variability
of heavy gauge and hot-dipped galvanized metal, some fracturing or rupturing
of the substrate is possible with subsequent rupturing of the coatings.
